Fama is an expanding sourcing company with business origins dating back to 1993. We specialise in providing comprehensive services to apparel and textile manufacturers, supporting their export operations to the European Union and other global markets. Our offerings encompass high-quality production, timely delivery, competitive pricing, and a strong emphasis on fashion, functionality, flexibility, and ethical practices.
Each client is assigned a dedicated merchandiser who serves as the primary point of contact and coordinates with our Quality Control team and other support departments. PROCUREMENT SERVICE PROVIDER
Fama is a procurement service provider of apparel and textile products. It supplements client resources with professional procurement outsourcing, market research and strategic sourcing.

Fama conducts regular audits of its manufacturers and associated subcontractors to ensure compliance with our clients’ quality standards and codes of conduct. An independent inspection agency carries out a comprehensive audit based on client-specific criteria, including social compliance, labour rights, child labour policies, and environmental standards.
​As part of our commitment to responsible sourcing, we actively support our suppliers in aligning with global initiatives such as BSCI, SEDEX, and FWF and participate in sustainability projects under the World Wide Fund for Nature, Green Office, and STWI programs.
DESIGNING
At Fama Sourcing, we collaborate closely with manufacturers to offer a diverse range of design options tailored to our clients' needs. Our skilled and innovative design team stays at the forefront of industry trends by continuously researching the latest developments in fabrics, accessories, and textile materials. These insights are thoughtfully integrated into designs that align with each client's unique fashion vision.

We maintain a strong presence at key industry trade fairs to monitor emerging trends, which are compiled into detailed reports and shared with our clients. In addition, we conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to ensure our clients are well-informed and positioned for success.
LOCAL PRESENCE
Managing a sourcing operation from abroad without a local presence may sometimes be difficult. With the client's commitment of providing information, samples, blueprints, we find the most suitable solution by taking care of price and conditions, negotiations, permits, finance, quality and logistics.
Fama Sourcing conducts regular audits of its manufacturers and their subcontractors to ensure compliance with clients’ quality standards and codes of conduct. Our in-house inspectors evaluate the technical capabilities, facilities, and equipment of each manufacturer, with findings reported directly to the merchandising team.

In addition, independent inspection firms carry out audits based on client-specific requirements, covering areas such as social compliance, labour rights, child labour policies, and environmental standards.

COTTON IN TÜRKIYE
Türkiye ranks among the world’s leading producers of cotton, renowned for its high-quality output, surpassed only by Egyptian and American (Virginian) varieties. The country’s textile industry began its rapid development in the early 1980s, expanding significantly over the next two decades to encompass approximately 18,000 manufacturers and exporters, supported by an additional 50,000 subcontractors and related producers.
This growth positioned Türkiye as the second-largest exporter to the European market. However, increased competition from the Far East in 2006 prompted a consolidation within the industry. This restructuring led to greater efficiency, with reductions in both production costs and lead times, while simultaneously enhancing product quality and fostering innovation.
